Every Hot Wheels owner has imagined himself or herself racing a fantasy race. “The Hot Wheels Secret Race Battle” was created to bring the bold, fantasy rich and playful brand values to life, in a memorable and spectacular experience.
I was the creative lead and responsible for the concept development, storytelling, the overall artistic development and creative execution of the battle. We organized the race at a secret location in Australia, in a classic building. Via invite only, online and offline fans could watch the ultimate hot wheels race, in which we moved from reality to rocking fantasy worlds.
The event featured four of the fastest Hot Wheels race cars, including one new, yet to be revealed car “Rodger Dodger” who all shattered the facade of Customs House Sydney. The notorious green skull hosted the thrilling stunt race, with finally one winner passing the finish line, deep down the race track. Place your bets..get set, ready for it? Let’s go! It was a blast and a super graphicly rich project that gave me the opportunity to work with top notch 3D specialists, voice-overs, skechers, projection mapping technicians and animators. I would get in that boat, or race car any time. You can wake me up for it.
